Debbie Heston enters her seventh year with the men’s basketball program and her 16th year at Washington State University in 2018-19, serving as the program’s principal assistant.

Prior to joining the men’s basketball program during the 2012-13 season, Heston worked in the athletic marketing and promotions department, serving as the program coordinator. In that capacity, Heston worked with Cougar Mania on a daily basis, and continues to help out on home football weekends.

Heston received her bachelor’s degree in social sciences in 2013. She lives in Pullman with her husband, Mike, and is stepmother to Steve and Kim Heston. A native of Spokane, Wash., Heston graduated from Helena Capital High School in Montana in 1979.
