Pedro Garcia Rosado

Pedro Garcia Rosado joined the Washington State coaching staff in spring 2024 ,following David Riley from Eastern Washington. In 2024-25, his first season on the Palouse, Garcia Rosado helped WSU secure a 19-15 record and a postseason berth to the inaugural College Basketball Crown. The selection marked a third postseason in four seasons for Garcia Rosado and Riley, and fourth-consecutive postseason for the Washington State Cougs.
 
Garcia Rosado previously spent three seasons with the EWU men’s basketball staff, joining in 2021-22 as the director of operations. He was named assistant coach prior to the 2022-23 season and brings a wealth of international basketball coaching and playing experience to Pullman.
 
Garcia Rosado began coaching in August of 2006, where he was the head boys and girl’s basketball coach for the Unicaja Basketball Academy for four years. He then moved to England, where he held assistant and head coaching roles for the Leeds Carnegie Basketball University. From August 2011 to June 2012, he was the U-18 assistant coach for the Club Baloncesto Unicaja in Spain before becoming the head coach for the Huddersfield Heat in England.
 
Garcia Rosado has also had stints as the assistant and head coach for the Canarias Basketball Academy, the Reading Rockets, John Madejski Academy and the England National team.
 
Prior to arriving in Cheney, he worked in Valencia, Spain from August 2017 to January 2019 where he was the head coach for the CB Claret while also serving as the assistant coach for the U-18 Al-Qazeres team. He also made one last stop in Hofn, Iceland where he was the head coach for UMF Sindri.
 
Rosado graduated from San Jose College in Malaga, Spain with a business administration and management degree in 2011. He received his MBA in Sport Management from IESPORT online, and another bachelor’s degree in business management in sport from Open University in June of 2020.
