Mark Hendrickson Inks Minor League Deal

BALTIMORE – Washington State alumnus Mark Hendrickson is continuing his quest to return to Major League Baseball.
A 6-foot-9 left-handed pitcher, Hendrickson spent 10 years in MLB with the Toronto Blue Jays, then Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Los Angeles Dodgers, then Florida Marlins and Baltimore Orioles. His last stop came with the Birds in 2011, the same team that recently signed him to a minor league contract.
The deal comes with an invitation to Spring Training for the 40-year-old. His last MLB appearance marked the 64th-consecutive season Washington State had an alumnus in MLB, tied for the fourth-longest streak in history for a collegiate program.
He pitched for the Orioles’ AAA franchise in Norfolk, Va., in 2013 and spent last season with the York Revolution, and independent team in York, Pa. Hendrickson has made 328-career appearances in MLB. Prior to playing professional baseball, he spent four years on the hardwood in the NBA.
