BALTZER'S HIGH SCHOOL CAREER
Coached by Marty Johnson at Sheldon High School...earned seven varsity letters at Sheldon, three in football, three in basketball and one in baseball...as a SOPHOMORE was a first-team All-Midwestern League selection, setting school record with seven fumble recoveries...as a JUNIOR was voted team captain and a preseason all-league pick...season was cut short in the third game due to season-ending injury...SENIOR season was a preseason all-league pick and team captain...totaled 152 tackles, 9 ½ sacks in garnering first-team all-league honors...voted team defensive MVP...had 17 tackles and an interception in State championship game, ending season with 15-0 record...teammate of current WSU quarterback Alex Brink.
