Earned three varsity letters as a running back/defensive back at Pullman High for coach Bill Christie…also lettered three times in track and once in basketball…SOPHOMORE year rushed for 800 yards on 7-3 team…placed seventh in the 100M at the state 2A track meet…a member of the 400M relay team that won state…as a JUNIOR selected first team All-Great Northern League and All-State running back…team finished second in state with an 11-2 after losing title game to Elma…at state track meet placed first in the 100, 200 and 400 relay…track team captain…SENIOR year voted to first team All-GNL as running back and defensive back…team went 8-2…football and track team captain…repeated as state champ in the 200 and 400 relay in track.
