Nebraska Wesleyan University, 1984 - Received his BA in business and physical education...PrairieWolves' wide receiver during the 1982 and 1983 seasons...earned NAIA All-America honors both years...head coach Orson Christenson...a member of the NWU Hall of Fame (1997) and in 2001 inducted into the National Football Foundation - Nebraska State Hall of Fame;
Eastern Oregon University, 1991 - Earned a Master's degree in education while a member of the EOU football staff.

COACHING EXPERIENCE:
Nebraska Wesleyan University, 1984 - Coached wide receivers;
York (Neb.) High, 1985 - Assistant coach;
Nebraska WesleyanUniversity, 1986 - coached wide receivers...head coach Orson Christenson;
Eastern Oregon University, 1987-91 - When the NWU head coach made the move to EOU, Peterson joined him, beginning his EOU stint coaching wide receivers for the first two years...during his last three years with the Mountaineers also served as offensive coordinator;
University of Idaho, 1992-93 - A member of John L. Smith's football staff for two seasons, coaching running backs and wide receivers;
Kansas State University, 1994 - first joined KSU as a graduate assistant in 1994 and ended up spending 12 years at the Manhattan, Kan., school under head coach Bill Snyder...took over coaching wide receivers in 1995...in 1997 added passing coordinator duties and then in 1999 was named the recruiting coordinator while still serving as the wide receiver coach and the passing coordinator...during the 2003 and 2004 seasons served as the co-offensive coordinator and wide receiver coach and in final season with the Wildcats, 2005, coached wide receiver;
Washington State University, 2006-present - Coaching tight ends for head coach Bill Doba and serving as recruiting coordinator.
