Cougar Cross Country Men's Team Earns Academic Honor

PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Washington State University Men's Cross Country team had the 27th-highest cumulative grade point average among 49 NCAA Division I men's teams honored by the United States Cross County Coaches Association (USCCCA), Cougar Head Coach Jason Drake announced Monday.
Teams had to have a grade point average of 3.00 or higher and WSU's 2005 men's team had a 3.18 GPA. The USCCCA also selects an All-Academic Cross Country Team With Distinction for teams with 3.25 GPAs or higher and 20 teams were selected for 2006 recognition.
