Milton Wynn and Agneta Rosenblad Named Pac-10 Medal Winners

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- Washington State's Milton Wynn and Agneta Rosenblad are among the 20 student-athletes selected as the 2000-01 Pacific-10 Conference Medal Winners, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced Thursday.
The Conference Medal is awarded annually to each member institution's outstanding senior male and female student-athlete based on the exhibition of the greatest combination of performance and achievement in scholarship, athletics, and leadership.
Wynn, a wide receiver on the Cougar football team from Lancaster, Calif., was taken in the fourth round of the 2001 NFL Draft by the Saint Louis Rams. Wynn was an All-Pac-10 Football second team selection last fall after starting all 11 games, and finished his senior year in fourth place on the WSU single-season receiving list with 964 yards. He had a team-leading 52 receptions and five touchdowns last year.
Rosenblad was a long jumper and hurdler for the Cougar track and field team, is from Lidingo, Sweden. She holds the school record for both events: the 100m high hurdles record is 13.48 seconds and the long jump record is 6.52m / 21-feet, 4 3/4 inches. Rosenblad won the Pac-10 long jump this year, and finished second in the hurdles. She competed at the NCAA Track Championships, finishing 13th in the long jump and 18th in the 100m high hurdles. Rosenblad also holds school records for the indoor 55m hurdles (7.68i) and 60m (8.26i) hurdles events. She placed 12th in the 2001 NCAA Indoor Championships in the long jump. Rosenblad was accorded the WSU Athletics Senior Excellence in Academics Award for 2001. She carried a 3.51 GPA in her accounting major.
