Biography

WILLIAMS' WSU CAREER. REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2020): Williams' second stint with the Cougars saw her featured in all 16 matches, starting in a majority of those at the middle blocker position...Kalyah posted career season-highs in multiple stat categories including sets played (59), total kills (100), kills per set (1.69), hitting percentage (.218), service aces (7), digs (35), block solos (6), block assists (44), total blocks (50.0), blocks per set (0.47), total points (135.0), and points per set (2.29)...Williams finished the year fourth overall on the Cougs in total kills with 100. and finished with 50.0 total blocks to rank second overall on Washington State. 

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2019): Coming off a redshirt season Williams played in 57 sets... she had 80 kills, 29 digs and 20 total blocks. 

FRESHMAN (2018): Redshirt season.

WILLIAMS' HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned varsity letters in volleyball and track for coach Leland McGrath at Long Beach Poly…2017 volleyball team accumulated a 32-6 record and advanced from the CIF Southern Section Division I playoffs to the state tournament…Jackrabbits won the Moore League title in 2017 with a 12-1 record after a runner-up finish in 2016 and league championship in 2015 ( when she played with current Cougar Penny Tusa)…three-time Moore League Dream Team selection…named to Redondo Power Classic and Ann Kang All-Tournament teams…was the Southern California Prep Volleyball Player of the Week….2017 Poly volleyball team was ranked No. 2 in California and No.10 in the nation…also played for Coach Joy Fuerbringer on Mizuno Volleyball Club, winning USA Volleyball’s Girls Junior National Championship 17’s National Division title…named MVP of the 17’s National Division All-Tournament Team…was a member of the Mizuno Rockstar Club team also won a Bronze medal at the 2017 Music City Tournament in the Open 18 Division…PrepVolleyball.com 2018 Senior Ace…named to PrepVolleyball.com's 2017 Club Season All-America Honorable Mention team, honoring the best 33 players in the 17’s Division.
 
PERSONAL. Born in July 2000…father Lance and mother Yani are managers…Lance played baseball and football at Central State University (Ohio)…Yani played basketball and competed in track at Santa Monica College…older brother Jared…younger sister Laura…member of Karing for Kids Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and was Student Commissioner of Girls Athletics…3.6 GPA…plans to study sports medicine at WSU.
