JUNIOR (2019): Indoor - Best pole vault mark occurred at the UW Preview at 4.90m/16-0 3/4i...Competed at the MPSF Indoor Championships in the pole vault, finishing eighth overall with a mark of 4.87m/15-11 3/4i...Named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic team…Outdoor - His best mark in the pole vault from the outdoor season came at the Pelluer Open at 4.70/15-5...Named to the Pac-12 All-Academic First Team.

SOPHOMORE (2018): Indoor - Competed at three meets, with his best pole vault of the season occurring at the Husky Classic with a height of 4.72m/15-5 3/4i…Named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic team...Outdoor - Saw action at two total meets during the outdoor season, and record his best mark in the pole vault at the WSU-UW Dual at 4.46m/14-7 1/2.

FRESHMAN (2017): Indoor - Best pole vault of season was 4.65m/15-3i at UW Indoor Preview (1/14/17, Seattle)…Outdoor - Opened outdoor season with PR height of 4.70m/15-5 at Trojan Invite (3/18/17, Los Angeles).
 
HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. At Reed High School, sophomore year pole vaulted a PR height of 13-6…placed sixth at Northern Nevada Regional meet (12-6)…as a junior cleared 13-6 again…led the Northern Nevada Regional prelims (13-0) but no height in final…runner-up at the 2016 Simplot Indoor Games with  pole vault PR of 15-3i…senior outdoor season moved PR to 15-0…finished fourth in the pole vault at the Nevada DI state championship (14-6).
 
PERSONAL. Born August 18, 1998 to Matt and Laura Gingerich in Reno, Nevada...His older brother, Chad, is a United State Marine...Troy graduated from Reed High School in June of 2016 with a weighted GPA of 4.06...He graduated with an Honor’s Diploma and is a member of the National Honor’s Society. He earned a total of 7 Varsity letters in Football, Alpine Ski Racing, and Track and Field. He received the Army ROTC Scholarship and upon graduation will be commissioned into the United States Army. He recently graduated from the US Army Airborne School and Army Master Fitness School...Currently majoring in history pre-law and with a legal studies focus.
