WSU CAREER:
SENIOR (2021-22):
Indoor - Started the season with a lifetime best in the 3000m run at 8:00.10 to finish 10th at the UW Preview (1/15)... Placed fifth in the UW Invite (1/28-29) mile at 3:59.04 before a PR in 3:57.00 to finish third at the Husky Classic (2/11-12)... Placed fifth in the mile at the Arkansas qualifier at 3:57.93 and was runner-up at the Pac-12 Invitational in 3:58.96... Outdoor - Set a lifetime-best 5k time at 14:28.23 to finish 14th overall... Was 40th in the 1500m at the Bryan Clay Invitational (4/13-15) in 3:41.84... Finished third in the 1500m at the WSU-UW Dual in 3:48.76 (4/22)... Hit a season-best at the Pac-12 Championships (5/13-15) in the 1500m run where he finished seventh overall with a 3:42.48 prelims time and a 3:41.33 finals time... Qualified for a second heat at the NCAA West Preliminary 1500m in 3:45.87 and finished the meet 16th overall after a 3:43.76 finals time.

SENIOR (2020-21): Indoor - Competed at four total meets during the regular season, setting multiple personal records early in the year...Stallings ran a 8:02.26 in the 3000 to begin the indoor season at the UW Preview where he placed fourth overall...Zach followed up that performance at the UW Invite with a sixth place finish in the mile with a time of 3:58.13, and that personal best would see him climb to fifth all-time in WSU history in the event as well...He capped off the indoor season at the NCAA Championships where he competed in the mile, placing 14th overall with a time of 4:09.05...Outdoor - Went on to compete in seven total meets during the outdoor season, posting multiple personal bests along the way once again...Stallings ran a 1:50.42 in the 800-meter a the UW v. WSU Dual placing fourth overall...He would post an impressive performance at the Pac-12 Championships in the 1500-meter event, placing sixth in the final at 3:41.69 and earning a spot at the NCAA West Preliminary Round...Zach continued his great outdoor season at the West Prelims where he posted a PR in the 1500m at 3:39.32 overall, and that time sees Stallings ranked sixth overall in the WSU history books...He capped off the year making a NCAA Outdoor Championships appearance in the 1500m where he place 19th overall in the nation earning himself an Honorable Mention All-American selection.

JUNIOR (2019-20): Indoor - Stallings ran in four total indoor meets as a junior...His best finish once again came from the Last Chance College Elite in the Mile, where he placed fifth overall with a time of 4:02.96... Outdoor - Did not compete.

SOPHOMORE (2018-19): Indoor - Competed in the Mile event at three different meets during the indoor season...Saw his best finish at the Last Chance College Elite, placing sixth overall at 4:07.54...Competed at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Indoor Track & Field Championships in multiple events, first in the 800-meter where he placed 25th with a time of 1:55.01...Stallings was a member of the DMR squad that finished sixth overall as well with a time of 9:50.12... Outdoor - Did not compete.

FRESHMAN (2017-18):  Indoor - Competed in the 800m at his first collegiate track, finishing fifth in 1:55.71 at the UW Preview (1/13)... Dropped his 800m time to a 1:53.45 at the UW Invitational (1/26-27) and capped his first career indoor season with a 1:53.63 to place 11th overall at the MPSF Indoor Track & Field Championships (2/23-24)... Outdoor - Was 38th at the Stanford Invitational (3/30-31) in 1:54.81 in the men's 800m run... Competed in the 1500m for the first time at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival (3/30-31) where he placed 15th overall at 3:52.85... Placed eighth in the 800m at the Oregon Pepsi Invitational (4/7) and was third in the 800 at the Beach Pacific Coast Intercollegiate (4/19) in 1:53.05... Dropped his 800 time to a season-best 1:51.64 to finish fourth at the WSU-UW Dual (4/28)... Finished his first collegiate season with a 19th-place showing at the Pac-12 Championships in the 800m after clocking a 1:54.23 prelims time at his first conference meet.

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER: Earned six varsity letters for McQueen High School…one in basketball for coach John Franklin…two in cross country and three in track for coach Ed Parise…finished fifth in 1600m at Northern Nevada D1 Championship Finals junior year…ran anchor leg of state champion 4x800m relay senior year… also state champion in the 800m and 1600m senior year... Gatorade Track Athlete of the Year for Nevada…senior year in cross country finished seventh at NIAA 4A State Championship.
