SEATTLE, Wash. (Feb. 12, 2026) – Former Washington State wide receiver Michale Bumpus has been inducted into the Pacific Northwest Football Hall of Fame, in a ceremony February 12, 2026 on the University of Washington campus.
Bumpus enters the hall of fame as a collegiate player, along with former Seattle Seahawk players Jeff Bryant and Joe Nash, former University of Washington quarterback Hugh Millen, along with former Seahawks player, coach and broadcaster Paul Moyer, and former coach at Washington and in the NFL, Don Coryell.
Bumpus played at WSU from 2004-07, where he was a standout wide receiver and punt returner. The Culver City, Calif. product received all-conference honors each of his four seasons, being named to Rivals.com Freshman All-America team as a utility player and to the Pac-10 All-Freshman team by The Sporting News as both a return specialist and a wide receiver. He garnered Pac-10 Honorable Mention honors each of his final three seasons.
By the time he left WSU, Bumpus was the school's all-time leader in receptions with 195, passing Cougar great Hugh Campell. He also conclude his career as WSU's all-time leader in punt return yardage (801) and punt return touchdowns (3).
Following WSU, Bumpus played the 2008 season with the Seattle Seahawks and also spent time with the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League in 2009. He served as the head coach at Monroe High School from 2015-19 and currently hosts a weekday sports radio show in Seattle with Stacy Rost on KIRO radio. Additionally, Bumpus is a member of the Seahawks Radio Network as the pre- and post-game host.
Bumpus becomes the 23rd Cougar to be inducted into the PNW Football Hall of Fame. The other include:
