Women Going to Fifth-Consecutive Postseason Tournament with WNIT Bid

| By:
PULLMAN, Wash. (March 16, 2025) – Washington State women's basketball earned a berth into the 2025 Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) Sunday evening.

"Achieving a spot in a postseason tournament is a yearly goal for our team," said Head Coach Kamie Ethridge. "I am thrilled that we have earned selection into the Women's National Invitational Tournament. The WNIT is a long-standing, prestigious tournament. Previous champions and participants of this tournament often spring-board into deep runs in the NCAA Tournament. Our young team will benefit from every highly pressurized and competitive 'win or go home' tournament-style game we play."

The WNIT will unveil the complete 48-team bracket and tournament schedule on Monday, March 17. Ticket information will be announced when available.

"This WNIT experience will also provide extended opportunities for our lone senior, Tara Wallack, to compete for a championship while wearing the COUG jersey," Ethridge said. "Since crowd size determines who hosts games as the tournament goes on, we need every COUG fan in the area to be a part of our WNIT championship drive and experience! We need you! GO COUGS!"

First round games in the 2025 WNIT will take place March 20-22, before the second-round games run March 23-25. The WNIT Championship on Saturday, April 5 will be televised on CBS Sports Network, with all other WNIT games available to watch on Triple Crown Sports Network.
