Cougs Conclude Strong Fall at Head of the Lake

SEATTLE, Wash. (November 2, 2025) – Washington State women's rowing capped its fall head racing schedule Sunday morning with a competitive effort at the Head of the Lake.

"Solid racing by the Cougs," said Head Coach Jane LaRiviere. "Kudos to the 2V8, I think they had the best go down the track. We have better depth this year and I'm looking forward to a competitive spring."

The Cougs opened the morning with their 1V8 shell placing third in the Champ Women's Colleigate 8+ in a time of 18:03.49. They trailed only Washington's top boats who finished in 17:08.35 and 17:14.01 and are a regular in the national rankings.

WSU had a similar finish in the Women's Collegiate JV 8+ with the team's 2V8 placing third in 18:04.83 behind Washington's 17:13.48 and 17:39.50 first and second place finishes.

The day concluded for the Cougars with a pair of eights in the Women's Collegiate 3V 8+ which saw the WSU 3V8 shell place third in a time of 18:57.66 and the 4V8 place fifth in 19:18.42.
