PULLMAN, Wash. (Sept. 11, 2024) - The Washington State Cross Country team will host the annual Cougar Classic, its second meet of the year, Friday, September 15 at Colfax Golf Club. The women will start off the evening with the 6k at 5 p.m., and the men will follow that up with the 8k at 5:45 p.m.

In addition to Washington State, participating school include Arizona, Boise State, Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, Idaho, Lewis-Clark State, Montana, Northwest Nazarene, Seattle, Spokane Community College, UC San Diego, Walla Walla, and Whitworth.

Zenah Cheptoo set a course record in the 4k with a time of 13:05.2 at the WSU Alumni Open, August 30.

Evans Kurui also set a course record in the 6k with a time of 16:56.8 at the 2024 WSU Alumni Open.

Nicole Bissell and
Alaina Stone Boggs finished second and third respectively, with times of 13:44.7 and 13:54.4 in the women's 4k.

Brian Barsaiya and
Leif Swanson finished with times of 17:50.1 and 17:53.2, respectively, closing out the top 3 in the men's 6k.
