Isaac Jones had a strong PIT debut," Jonathan Givony shared on X, formerly Twitter. "NBA teams like his scoring instincts and intensity, would like to see him show more shooting ability. Looks like he has potential there for sure."
In his final game, Jones put up a double-double with 21 points, 10 rebounds, one steal, and one block in 23 minutes. The performance earned Jones player of the game recognition. Over the four-day, three-game event, Jones averaged 18.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 0.3 turnovers per game.
"Catching up on Portsmouth, WSU's
Isaac Jones felt like the clear standout," Jonathan Wasserman shared via X. "Moved differently. Resulted in constant activity, easy baskets, O-boards. Looked like a big-wing defender, tools popped. Made it easy to picture him for energizer role. Assume we'll see him at the Combine."
Jones was WSU's leading scorer and rebounder in the 2023-24 season, leading the Cougars to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2008. The fifth-year senior averaged 15.3 points per game over the season, surpassing 1,000 career points, Feb. 17, in just two seasons of Division-I basketball. A two-time Pac-12 Player of the Week, Jones shot the ball at a .575 clip, fifth in the Pac-12 and 33rd nationally.
