Charlisse Leger-Walker earned an All-Pac-12 selection for the fourth time in her career while senior
Bella Murekatete picked up her second All-Pac-12 honorable mention nod and freshman
Eleonora Villa earned an All-Pac-12 Freshman Team selection.
Leger-Walker becomes the first player in program history to earn All-Pac-12 honors for a fourth time in their career. She recorded the first two triple-doubles of her collegiate career this season on her way to scoring 278 points and tallying 107 assists and 137 rebounds before suffering a season-ending injury in January. All-time at WSU, she currently ranks third in career points (1,743), fourth in scoring average (16.6), fourth in made field goals (607), second in made threes (199), fifth in made free throws (330), and fourth in assists (389).
Murekatete earns her second-career All-Pac-12 honorable mention nod, after averaging 12.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game which rank 22nd, eighth and 11th, respectively, in the conference. She has shot at a 53.0 percent clip from the field which currently ranks ninth in the Pac-12. This season, she has become the all-time leader in program history in career rebounds (952), blocks (184), games played (148), and games started (140).
Villa has had an incredible start to her collegiate career as she is putting together one of the best freshman seasons in WSU history. Among all-time freshman seasons at WSU E. Villa currently ranks seventh in total points (398), eighth in FG% (.433), eighth in 3PT% (.338), second in consecutive double-digit scoring games (13), third in total double-digit scoring games (25), eighth in points per game (12.8), fourth in made field goals (154), seventh in made threes (46), and first in minutes played (1,016).
The Washington State women's basketball team begins postseason play at the 2024 Pac-12 Women's Basketball Tournament Wednesday, March 6, as the No. 9-seeded Cougars are set to take on No. 8-seed California. Tip-off against the Golden Bears is set for 2:30 p.m. PT and will air live on the Pac-12 Network.
