SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. (December 16, 2025) – Washington State women's basketball mounted an impressive comeback Tuesday night, erasing much of a 20-point first-quarter deficit before eventually dropping a 74-65 decision to Seton Hall at Walsh Gymnasium.
After a challenging opening 10 minutes, the Cougars (1-11, 0-0 WCC) flipped the script over the final three quarters, outscoring the Pirates 55-44 the rest of the way. WSU tightened defensively and found better offensive flow in the second quarter, cutting into the margin before halftime, then continued to apply pressure coming out of the break.
Eleonora Villa paced Washington State with 17 points and five assists, sparking multiple runs as the Cougars chipped away at the Pirates' lead.
Keandra Koorits added 14 points and six rebounds, while
Lauren Glazier delivered 12 points on an efficient 6-of-9 shooting off the bench.
Charlotte Abraham finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
Washington State shot 41.5 percent from the field, totaled 17 assists and scored 31 bench points, repeatedly threatening to turn the game into a one-possession contest. Although the early hole proved too large to fully overcome, the Cougars' sustained response highlighted their resilience and momentum moving forward.
