Day 4 | Travel to Dubrovnik, Croatia
After another wonderful breakfast at the Cornaro Hotel in Split, it was time to depart. The team loaded up the bus for the 4-hour ride to Dubrovnik, with a bonus stop in the walled city of Ston.
With just over an hour to explore Ston, some of the group sampled the local mussels and clams (for which Ston is known), some climbed the famous wall and walked the 1.2 km length before finishing the bus trip to Dubrovnik.
The evening consisted of a walking tour of the old medieval city of Dubrovnik and a gondola ride to some breath-taking views of the city and surrounding area. After the gondola ride, most of the group made their way up over 100 steps (of differing size and widths) to one of the most unique and famous basketball courts in the world. Nestled next to the main wall with a view of the ocean from one open end, it is truly a spectacular and incredibly unique basketball court.
Everyone then had some free time to walk around, shop and grab dinner before heading back to the bus for the return to the hotel. Another amazing day in Croatia.
