Cougs to play four Pac-12 matches in seven days beginning with mountain schools Friday and Sunday

PULLMAN, Wash. —  No. 9 Washington State volleyball (20-7, 10-6 Pac-12) will close the 2023 Pac-12 schedule with four matches over a seven-day span beginning Friday as they travel to Boulder, Colo., to play Colorado (14-13, 6-10 Pac-12) at 6 p.m. on Pac-12 Insider.  The Cougars will travel across the Rockies to Salt Lake City where they will play Utah (10-16, 5-11 Pac-12) on Sunday at 11 a.m. on Pac-12 Mountain.

Washington State is coming off of a reverse sweep over USC Sunday in Bohler Gym in which Iman Isanovic posted a season-high 24 kills while head coach Jen Greeny became just the second coach in program history to achieve three-consecutive 20-win seasons.  Friday's match in Boulder will kick off a final stretch of four-matches within a one-week span as the Cougs return to Pullman to host Arizona State on Wednesday, Nov. 22, beginning at noon, followed by an Apple Cup road trip to Seattle to play the Huskies on Friday, Nov. 24, at 7 p.m.

>> Karly Basham and Julia Norville became the 13th and 14th members of the 1,000 career digs club, respectively, earlier this season.
>> Pia Timmer begins the week just 34 digs shy of reaching 1,000 digs for her career, putting her over 1,000 career kills and digs in her college career.

>> Timmer is also only 158 kills away from tying Kyra Holt (1,777) for second all-time in WSU history in career kills.

>> WSU dropped to No. 11 in this week's AVCA Top-25 Coaches' Poll, moving down two spots from last week's poll following a split weekend in Bohler Gym.
>> Washington State has appeared in 189 AVCA Top-25 polls­ — No. 20 all-time among Power Five schools — while finishing 13 seasons in the final top-25 poll — also ranked No. 20 all-time among Power Five schools.
>> Washington State set a program record with eight-consecutive week inside the top-25 earlier this season. WSU has spent a total of 39 weeks all-time ranked inside the nation's top-10.
>> WSU also came in at No. 12 in this week's Volleyballmag.com Super 16 Poll.
>> The Cougs came in at No. 5 in the second NCAA Women's Volleyball Committee Poll of the season which was announced on Oct. 29.

IN ELITE COMPANY
>> Washington State is 15th in the NCAA and third in the Pac-12 as a team with a .283 hitting percentage this season. (as of 11/13)
>> If the season ended today, WSU would tie the program record for single-season team attack percentage at .283 (1348-435-3229) as a team going into the weekend.  The current WSU record was set by a 1996 team that featured both Jen Greeny (Stinson) and Shannon Hunt (Wyckoff).
>> The 2022 Cougars finished the season ranked 16th in the NCAA at .280 as a team, a best final ranking in team attack percentage under coach Greeny and the second-highest single-season attack percentage in WSU history.
>> WSU's .506 attack percentage vs. Tulsa was the highest of any Pac-12 team over an opponent so far this season.

11th-ranked Washington State will face a quick turnaround as it gets set to host its home finale on Wednesday, Nov. 22, against Arizona State, beginning at noon on Pac-12 Network.  The Cougars will then travel to Seattle for their Pac-12 finale against Apple Cup rival Washington on Friday, Nov. 24, beginning at 7 p.m., on Pac-12 Washington.
