Media Votes Cougar MBB 10th in Preseason Poll

LAS VEGAS – The Washington State men's basketball team was selected 10th in the 2023-24 Pac-12 Preseason Media Poll, the conference announced Wednesday morning. The Cougs received 94 points in the poll, as voted on by media members who cover the league.
WSU reloaded with a trio of high-profile transfers, including Pac-12 Media Day participant Joseph Yesufu from Kansas. Senior Andrej Jakimovski returns as the veteran 4-year, looking to guide the Cougs to a third-consecutive postseason bid.
Wazzu finished the 2022-23 season with a 17-17 record, bowing out of the opening round of the National Invitation Tournament. Sophomore Mouhamed Gueye was drafted in the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft.
Washington State begins the 2023-24 campaign at home against Idaho, Monday, Nov. 6, in a double-header action with the women's team. The men tip off the season at 8 p.m. on the Pac-12 Network.
