PULLMAN, Wash. (January 17, 2023) – Washington State Head Football Coach
Jake Dickert has completed his 2023 Football Strength and Conditioning staff, led by Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Ben Iannacchione, it was announced Tuesday.
In addition to Iannacchione, D'Anthony Knight, Tristan White and Jonathan Amosa join the Cougar program while
Jake Beckett returns for his second year on staff.
"As a developmental program, we know the importance of the Strength and Conditioning staff and how they can add tremendous value to our program, players and their futures," said Dickert. "Upholding the standard of the program and challenging our players B.E.S.T. will be at the forefront of our strength and conditioning department and I am excited to welcome all five staff members to our football family.
"I have had an opportunity to work with Ben, D'Anthony and Tristan in my past and know they are a great fit for WSU and Pullman," Dickert continued. "
Jake Beckett remains on staff and I look forward to his continued success and I'm also excited to have Jonathan Amosa back home in the state of Washington. I can't wait to see the results of their hard work this fall. Go Cougs!"
Iannacchione is no stranger to Dickert as the two worked together when both were on Craig Bohl's staff at Wyoming during the 2018-19 seasons. Iannacchione comes to Pullman having spent the 2022 season as the head strength and conditioning coach at Akron. A former standout offensive lineman who played collegiately at Boise State, Iannacchione arrived at Akron after spending the 2021 campaign on the Pitt football strength and conditioning staff.
A veteran of the collegiate ranks, Iannacchione has also worked on the football staffs at Kansas (2020), Wyoming (2018-19), LSU (2011-15, 2016-17) and Youngstown State (2015). He holds a degree in communications from Boise State and a master's degree from LSU in kinesiology.
D'Anthony Knight begins his first season at Washington State as the associate strength and conditioning coach. Knight arrives in Pullman having spent the 2022 season as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Akron. Prior to Akron, Knight spent the 2021 campaign on the strength and conditioning football staff at Kansas.
He began his professional career serving on the strength and conditioning football staff at Wyoming, spending the 2019 season as a strength and conditioning intern before moving into a full-time role the following season. Knight graduated from Truman State in 2019 earning a bachelor's degree in exercise science, where he was also an all-conference defensive back.
Jake Beckett begins his second season on the Washington State Strength & Conditioning Staff after joining the Cougars in the spring of 2022. Beckett arrived in Pullman after spending the previous year in a similar capacity at Florida Atlantic. From 2019-20, he served as a graduate assistant at the University of South Carolina, where he was responsible for the day-to-day accountability of the players and Catapult analytics.
Beckett has spent time as a strength and conditioning coach at Tennessee Martin at Middle Tennessee State after beginning his coaching career as an intern at South Carolina. He received his bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science from Coastal Carolina in 2016 and his master's in family and consumer science from Tennessee Martin in 2020.
Tristan White begins his first season on the Cougar Head Coach
Jake Dickert's staff as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. White arrives in Pullman having spent the past three years with the football program at Montana State. He began as a graduate assistant for the first two years before moving into a full-time role as the assistant director of football strength and conditioning in January of 2022.
White began in the field serving an internship with the University of Wyoming football programs in 2019 while finishing up his undergraduate degree in kinesiology. He also holds a master's of health science in community health from Montana State.
Jonathan Amosa begins his first season with the Cougar Football program as an assistant strength and condition coach, arriving in Pullman having spent the past season as a part-time strength and conditioning coach at Baylor University. The previous three seasons he served in an offensive quality control position at Montana State.
A former walk-on running back at the University of Washington, he earned All-Pac-12 honorable mention honors in 2012 and his degree in American Ethnic Studies before spending time in trainings camps for both the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks.
