GAME INFORMATION - VS COLORADO
The Cougs head to Las Vegas as the No. 11 seed in the Pac-12 Tournament for the third-straight season. WSU will take on No. 6 seed Colorado in the opening round of the tournament. The matchup marks the third time in the last five seasons the Cougs will face Colorado in the opening round, the last time coming March 8, 2017 when the Buffs rallied from down 19 to beat the Cougs 73-63.
Both the Cougs and the Buffs enter the tournament looking to turn around a late season slide with WSU having dropped its final two games while the Buffs lost four straight.
The winner of Wednesday's matchup will face off against Arizona State Thursday night.

LAST TIME OUT - VS COLORADO
#23 COLORADO 78 - WSU 56 | JAN. 23, 2020 | BOULDER, COLO.

A battle through 30 minutes the Cougs ran out of gas in what would be the fourth quarter of the game as Colorado turned a four-point game with 10 minutes to go into a 22-point victory despite CJ Elleby scoring 15 and Daron Henson chipping in 13 off the bench. The Cougs suffered their ninth-straight loss at Boulder as the Buffs won for the second-straight time in the series.

WSU AT THE PAC-12 TOURNAMENT
Washington State is the No. 11 seed in the 2020 Pac-12 Tournament and will face No. 6 Colorado for the first time since the 2017 tournament. Wednesday marks the third all-time meeting against Colorado at the Pac-12 Tournament since 2012 when the Buffs joined the league. The game also marks the fourth time since 2012 the Cougs have been the 11 seed.
The Cougars' last win in the tournament came with Tony Bennett at the helm in 2009 at the Pac-10 Tournament in LA when WSU defeated Oregon 62-40. In addition to having not won a tournament game in the last 10 championships the Cougs are also attempting to reverse the trend of having never won a tournament game when seeded ninth or worse.

COUGS IN THE REGULAR SEASON
The Cougars ended the regular season 15-16 overall and 6-12 in Pac-12 play, surpassing both win totals from a season ago. The 15 wins were the most since the 2011-12 season.
Under new head coach Kyle Smith the Cougs picked up the first win of the year, Nov. 7 in an 85-54 win over Seattle U. The 31-point win marked the largest margin of victory in the modern era for a Coug head coach in his debut. Throughout the year the Cougs came up with a handful of big wins including taking down #8 Oregon, 72-61, while splitting the season series with UCLA, both games going to overtime. Against their rivals, the Cougs came up big, sweeping the Huskies for the first ime since 2017.
