PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State dropped its season-finale with Arizona 15-7 at Bailey-Brayton Field Saturday afternoon.

The Cougars received three hits from
Collin Montez, three RBI from
Kyle Manzardo and
Danny Sinatro recorded a pair of hits to finish the season with a 12-game hitting streak and with a .325 batting average.
Garrett Gouldsmith and Manzardo also tallied two hits while senior
Andres Alvarez had a two-run double in his final collegiate at-bat.

WSU finished the season with an 11-42-1 overall record including a 3-26-1 Pac-12 Conference mark. Arizona collected 13 hits and finished the regular season 32-24 overall and 15-14 in Pac-12 play.

In the first inning, Arizona pushed five runs across on four hits, a pair of walks and an error. In the bottom of the second, the Cougars received a big hit from Manzardo who blooped in a double into shallow centerfield with the bases loaded and all three runners scored to cut the Arizona lead to 5-3.

In the third, Montez led off with a walk, moved to second on a wild pitch and to third on a groundout before scoring on another wild pitch, cutting the Arizona lead to 5-4. The Wildcats answered with a pair of runs after three straight hits in the fourth inning and a hit a solo homer in the fifth for an 8-4 advantage.

In the sixth, Arizona broke things open with five runs for a 13-4 advantage and added two unearned runs in the seventh for a 15-4 lead.

The Cougars received an RBI-single from Montez in the seventh and a two-run double to right centerfielder from Alvarez in the eighth inning.
