WSU Men’s Golf Signs Three to National Letters of Intent

PULLMAN, Wash – Washington State's Men's Golf Coach Dustin White has signed three student-athletes to Nation Letters of Intent, it was announced Tuesday. The list includes Max Sekulic, Nate Plaster and Jaden Cantafio, all of whom are expected to begin at WSU in the fall of 2020.
 
"We are excited about having these guys join our program" said White. "They've all had a different route of getting here, but they will play a valuable role in taking us where we want to go. We feel they will fit right in with the vision we have and continue to develop their talent in the Pac-12. Hard Working. Competitive. Love a challenge. Those are the qualities that take you a long way. We look forward to working with them and know they will achieve some great things."
 
Sekulic, from Rycroft, Alberta, Canada, who will be joining the Cougars after spending his first two seasons at Grand Canyon University. During his two years at GCU, he twice shot 68 and finished the 2019 season with a 74.17 stroke average. Sekulic posted his best finish at the ACU Spring Invitational where he finished 13th place.
 
Plaster, from Spokane, Wash., is finishing up his senior year at Gonzaga Prep where he received varsity letters all four years. Plaster was the Greater Spokane League Player of the Year as a freshman and made the all GSL team his sophomore and junior season. During his junior year, Plaster captained his team and lead them to a second-place finish at state.
 
Cantafio, from Tustin Calif, attended Mater Dei for his first three years and is finishing his high school career at Tesla Academy where he has placed first in both the Palmetto Tournament and the Ayala Spring Classic. At Mater Dei, Cantafio lettered all three years he attended and took 3rd at the FCG World Championships as a sophomore.
