THIS WEEK: The Washington State men's golf team is set to travel to sunny Fort Collins, Colo., to kick off the 2018-19 fall season at the ram Masters Invitational, Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 17-18, at Colorado State's Fort Collins Country Club…this will break its streak of hosting nine-straight season openers on the Palouse.
THE COURSE: Fort Collins Country Club in Northern Colorado is located northwest of the campus and the city...opened in 1959, the course has hosted USGA Qualifiers, State championships and Division I collegiate events...the 7,218-yard course plays at a par 70...the teams will play two rounds, totaling 36 holes with a shotgun start, at 8:00 a.m. Monday...the tournament will conclude on Tuesday with 18 holes beginning with an 8:00 a.m. MT tee time.
THE TOURNAMENT: This will be the seventh year Colorado State has hosted the Ram Masters Invitational...the tournament was started in 2012...Colorado State has won the tournament the last four years...this is Washington State's first appearance at the Ram Masters Invitational.
THE FIELD: Joining WSU in the 17-team field will be Colorado State, Cal State Fullerton, Denver, Idaho, Illinois State, Long Beach State, North Dakota State, Northern Colorado, Omaha, Rice, Sam Houston State, Seattle, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Wichita State, Wyoming and Colorado.

Grant Cole, juniors
Nicklaus Chiam and
Daniel Kolar, and sophomore
Ryan Maine.
RECAPPING THE 2017-18 SEASON: WSU closed out the 2017-18 season with a seventh-place finish at the Pac-12 Championship, tying its best finish in school history...WSU closed out the tournament with a four-round score of 1412 (-8), leading No. 37 Arizona by 10 strokes...then-senior
Zach Anderson led the charge with the fourth-best finish in WSU history at the championships tying for eighth…then-senior
Derek Bayley, and then-juniors
AJ Armstrong and
Grant Cole each went one under par, all tying for 23rd.

Dustin White, a WSU alumnus who golfed for the Cougars from 1999-2003...assisting White is first-year assistant coach,
Kevin Tucker, also a WSU alumn who golfed for the team from 2006-2010.
