LONG BEACH, Calif. – Washington State tennis went a perfect 10-0 in singles play at the 2018 Long Beach Fall Invitational Saturday afternoon.
 
Tiffany Mylonas won both of her matches in straight sets to advance to Sunday's final in the A Flight. The Cougar senior is looking for her second singles title in as many tournaments, having captured the Cougar Classic Crimson title in late September. Freshman Hikaru Sato won both of her consolation matches in the A flight to advance to the consolation final Sunday.
 
In the B Flight, junior Melisa Ates and freshman Yang Lee both won semifinal matches to advance to Sunday's final. Both players won their second round and semifinal matches in straight sets.
 
Senior Aneta Miksovska won both of her matches Saturday in convincing fashion to advance to the final of the C flight. Teammate Ege Tomey won both of her backdraw matches in straight sets to advance to Sunday's consolation final.
 
In doubles play, Mylonas and Sato easily advanced to Sunday's A Flight final following a 6-1 win over Long Beach State's Devarakjonda and Bardet.  On the other half of the draw, WUS's Miksovska and Lee had a 5-3 lead but could not close out the match, falling 7-5 to Munoz/Meyer of Long Beach State.
 
In the B Flight semifinal, Ates and Tomey posted a 6-4 win over Loyola Marymount's Tumosa and Gaisina to advance to Sunday's final.
 
Play concludes Sunday beginning at 9 a.m.
