LAS VEGAS – The seventh-ranked Oklahoma State women's tennis team posted a 4-0 victory over Washington State Monday morning at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
 
With the loss the Cougars fall to 9-4, 0-1 in Pac-12 play, while Oregon improves to 8-5, 2-0.
 
The Cowgirls began the day by taking the first two doubles matches for the opening point. At No. 1, the nation's sixth-ranked team of Vladica Babic and Carla Tur Mari posted a 6-1 victory over Barbora Michalkova and Victoria Matejevic. Shortly thereafter, Aliona Bolsova and Sofia Blanco, ranked No. 37 nationally, defeated WSU's Aneta Miksovska and Lejla Colic, 6-1, to clinch the point. The match at No. 3 was halted with WSU's Melisa Ates and Guzal Yusupova trailing the nation's 32nd-ranked team of Viktoriya Lushkova and Katarina Adamovic, 4-2.
 
In singles action the Cougars started slow and did not recover before Oklahoma State posted the clinching fourth team point. At No. 5 Ates dropped a 6-1, 6-1 contest to Lena Ruppert while Colic fell to Katarina Stresnakova, 6-0-, 6-1, at No. 6. OSU clinched the match at No. 2 when Bolsova, ranked 43rd nationally, defeated Michalkova, 6-4, 6-2.
 
Three matches remained on court when play was stopped after the Cowgirls clinched the win. At No. 1, Yusupova dropped the first set and was at 1-1 in the second against No. 76 Adamovic, while Miksovska was trailing 6-3, 3-0 to No. 92 Babic at No. 3. Matejevic, playing No. 4, was down 6-2, 3-2 against No. 68 Tur Mari.
 
The Cougars conclude their two-match trip in Las Vegas when they face No. 45 UNLV Wednesday at 10:30 p.m.
