Cougars Complete Day Two of Ohio State Invite

Four Cougars etch their names into WSU Top-10 Times.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Cougars had another great day in the pool at the Ohio State Invite, finishing the day with five Top-15 finishes. WSU currently remains in eighth place with 117 points.
"Cougs swam well today." said head coach Tom Jager. "We put together some very good relays that placed well. And a couple  Finalist with Jasmine and Emily and the represented WSU well. "
The Cougars started off the day with a fifth place finish the 200 Medley Relay. Emily Cook, Linnea Lindberg, Alba Fores, and Hannah Bruggman clocked in at 1:39.62. Jasmine Margetts, Clothilde Peseux, Penny Nichols, and Chloe Larson also swam well in the event, clocking in at 1:44.29 for 23rd place. Fores and Margetts were also members of the 13th place 800 Free Relay team. Alongside teammates Rachel Thompson and Ryan Falk, the team was able to clock in at 7:22.06.
Emily Cook continued to perform well for the Cougars. Cook clocked in at 54.04 in the 100 back to tie for ninth place with Ky-lee Perry from North Carolina State University. Hannah Bruggman placed 27th with a time of 55.96. Pullman, Wash. native Taylor McCoy finished with a season-best time of 56.90.
Alba Fores, Clothilde Peseux, Mackenzie Duarte, and Anna Brolin swam well for WSU today. Each posted Top-10 times in program history in their events. Fores clocked in at 1:48.56 in the 200 free for 13th place and fourth fastest time in program history. In the 100 breast, Peseux and Duarte clocked in at 1:03.24 and 1:03.33, respectively. Their times are seventh and eighth in program history. Brolin etched her name into the WSU Top-10 times, clocking in at 55.04 in the 100 fly.
Jasmine Margetts added a Top-10 finish for the Cougars. Margetts clocked in at 4:20.26 in the 400 IM for tenth place.
The Cougars will compete in the final day of the Ohio State Invite Sunday, Nov. 19 at 10 am.
