Cougars Set Three Pool Records, Cruise Past Idaho on Senior Night

PULLMAN, Wash. (January 30, 2026) – Washington State Swimming won 13 of the 14 events and cruised to a 210-52 victory over visiting Idaho on Senior Night at Gibb Pool, Friday.

The Cougars recognized their six seniors; Clara Anderson, Skylar Brgoch, Kathryn Gyde, Emily Lundgren, Anna Rauchholz and Lauren Wille prior to the meet.

WSU, who took the top three finishers in 10 of the 14 events, improved to 6-0 in dual meets this season and 14-0 over the last two seasons after going 8-0 last year. Three pool records fell as Rauchholz broke the 100 back stroke with a 53.16, Darcy Revitt broke her own 50 free mark with a 22.30 and Wille set the 500 free mark with a 4:50.07. Kate Bluford tallied her first career WSU Top-10 time after posting a 54.46 in the 100 back, tying for the seventh-fastest time in program history.

The 200 medley relay of Rauchholz, Revitt, Addyson Lewis and Barbora Mileisyte opened the meet with a convincing win and Tatum Janning followed with a win in the 400 IM, just beating teammate Ariel Wang by .08 hundredths of a second. Wille added a win in the 200 free and Rauchholz followed with her record-setting win in the 100 back, breaking the previous mark set by Claire Cuzan of Stanford in 2022.

Cougar All-American Emily Lundgren won the 100 breast for her 58th career win and Mehlika Yalcin added a win in the 200 fly, her third win in the event this season. Revitt broke her own 50 free pool mark while winning the event and followed a break with a 100 free win. Jade Castro won the 200 back and Ashlyn Hernandez added a 200 breast win by over five seconds. Wille followed with her record-setting win in the 500 free, besting former world champion Bonnie Brandon of Arizona's previous top time of 4:50.14 set in 2014.

Mileisyte (55.02), Yalcin (55.36) and Rauchholz (55.74) went 1-2-3 in an exciting 100 fly race before newly arrived freshman Georgia Els nearly picked up her first win while finishing .03 hundredths of a second behind Idaho in 100 IM.

Washington State closed the evening with a 400 free relay win by over four seconds from Revitt, Mileisyte, Wille and Issabelle Parrish.

The Cougars will close the regular season against the Vandals in Moscow Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m.
