COUGARS MIDDLE BLOCKERS PUTTING UP GREAT NUMBERS
A pair of WSU middle blockers are dominating the Pac-12 with a combination of blocking and high percentage hitting...redshirt sophomore Jocelyn Urias and junior Ella Lajos are newcomers to the MB starting roles but have put up outstanding numbers...to date, Lajos has 114 kills with 30 errors in 242 attacks for a .347 hpct, 7th-best in Pac-12 and also contributes 1.20 blocks per set which is 11th-best in Pac-12...her 79 total blocks is fifth-best in Pac-12 and 59th-best in NCAA...Urias has 99 kills with 24 errors in 226 attacks for a .332 hitting percentage and also has a 1.55 blocks per set average, third-best in Pac-12 and 10th-best in NCAA...Urias' 102 total blocks this season leads the Pac-12 and is eighth-best in NCAA...in WSU's 3-1 win at Arizona, Urias went 10k-0e-18a (.556) with four blocks and Lajos was 7k-0e-13a (.538) with two blocks...Urias has six error-free matches this season.
