COUGARS MIDDLE BLOCKERS PUTTING UP GREAT NUMBERS
A pair of WSU middle blockers are dominating the Pac-12 with a combination of blocking and high percentage hitting...redshirt sophomore
Jocelyn Urias and junior
Ella Lajos are newcomers to the MB starting roles but have put up outstanding numbers...to date, Lajos has 96 kills with 26 errors in 207 attacks for a .338 hpct, 10th-best in Pac-12 and also contributes 1.24 blocks per set which is eighth-best in Pac-12...her 72 total blocks is fourth-best in Pac-12 and 53rd-best in NCAA...Urias has 83 kills with 21 errors in 190 attacks for a .326 hitting percentage and also has a 1.50 blocks per set average, fourth-best in Pac-12 and 18th-best in NCAA...Urias' 87 total blocks this season leads the Pac-12 and is 14th-best in NCAA...in WSU's 3-1 win at Arizona, Urias went 10k-0e-18a (.556) with four blocks and Lajos was 7k-0e-13a (.538) with two blocks.
