PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Washington State track and field competitors found personal-best marks and event victories Friday night during the opening day at the 15th Annual WSU Open Indoor meet at the WSU Indoor Facility.

Dino Dodig (senior, Novi Sad, Serbia) led a first-through-fifth finish for the Cougar men in the pole vault. Dodig, a decathlete, cleared a PR height of 16-feet 1/2 inch (4.90m) followed by
Anden Lewis' PR of 15-9 (4.80m), while
Tucker Mjelde cleared 15-3 (4.65m), and
Troy Gingerich and
Yousef Saleh had clearances at 14-9 (4.50m).

WSU's
Kiana Davis and
Greer Alsop finished one-two in the women's triple jump, both breaking Alsop's 2016 meet record mark. Davis (senior, Longview, Wash.) won with a leap of 40-0 1/2 (12.51m) while Alsop (redshirt junior, Invercargill, New Zealand) reached 40-11 3/4 (12.49m) which also surpassed her 2016 meet record of 40-8 3/4 (12.41m).
Josh Colbert (redshirt sophomore, Sammamish, Wash.) won the men's triple jump with a leap of 47-2 1/2 (14.39m).

Brock Eager (redshirt sophomore, Renton, Wash.) and
Travis Pickett finished one-two in the men's 35-lb weight throw with Eager's mark of 62-1 (18.92m) and Pickett's throw at 60-0 1/2 (18.30m). WSU's
Wyatt Meyring took fifth place with a PR heave of 53-9 1/4 (16.39m).
Katie Wardsworth (junior, Spokane Valley, Wash.) was the runner-up in the women's 20-lb weight throw with a toss of 53-10 1/4 (16.41m).
