Lund-Hansen Selected to Represent Team Denmark

PULLMAN, Wash. -- Washington State freshman golfer, Marie Lund-Hansen, was chosen as one of three female amateurs to represent Denmark at the World Amateur Team Championships in Mexico this September, the International Golf Federation announced this month.

PULLMAN, Wash. -- Washington State freshman golfer, Marie Lund-Hansen, was chosen as one of three female amateurs to represent Denmark at the World Amateur Team Championships in Mexico this September, the International Golf Federation announced this month.

Lund-Hansen, a native of Aabenraa, Denmark, will attend the international competition Sept. 14-17 at Riviera Maya, Mexico.

Lund-Hansen graduated from Aabenraa Statsskole last spring and was a member of the Danish National Team. She represented Denmark in the 2016 European Ladies' Team Championships and placed sixth overall among 111 players at the 2016 German International Ladies Amateur Championship. Lund-Hansen won the Danish International Lady Junior Championship in 2014 and was selected to play at the Total International Belgian Juniors competition. 

The World Amateur Team Championships are an international golf competition occurring biennially and is rotated among the Asian-Pacific, American, and European-African zones of the world.
