Volleyball Wraps Up Pac-12 in Boulder, Seattle

WSU VOLLEYBALL WRAPS UP PAC-12 SEASON IN BOULDER, SEATTLE
The Washington State University volleyball team (16-14 overall, 5-13 Pac-12) wraps up the Pac-12 season this week with matches at Boulder and Seattle...WSU plays at Colorado (17-13 overall, 9-9 Pac-12) Wed., Nov. 25 with an afternoon match that begins at 1 p.m. PT in the Coors Events Center...Cougars travel back to the state for the rival match against No. 2 Washington (26-2 overall, 16-2 Pac-12* pending 11/25 vs. Utah) Sat., Nov. 28 at 8 p.m. in Alaska Airlines Arena...the WSU at UW match will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks...should be exciting as the last time WSU met each of these teams the matches went to five sets...LAST TIME: Nov. 16, 2014, No. 22 Colorado defeated WSU 3-2 at Boulder (26-24, 24-26, 19-25, 25-16, 15-12); Sept. 24, 2015 WSU was edged by No. 6 Washington 3-2 in Pullman (25-22, 15-25, 11-25, 25-20, 4-15).
COUGAR COACHING STAFF
Jen Stinson Greeny is in her fifth season as WSU's head coach (69-90 at WSU, 5 years; 181-114 in career, 9 years) - complete Greeny bio on page 5...assistant coaches Burdette Greeny (fifth year) and Shannon Hunt (third year)...all coaches are former WSU student-athletes...volunteer coach James Dorr (first year)...Katie Hinrichs is coordinator of operations (fifth year).

> Cougars won three of the four non-conference tournaments in 2015 with MVP awards going to McKenna Woodford (Lone Star Showdown) and Kyra Holt (Cougar Challenge and Idaho Volleyball Classic).
SOMMER CLAIMS WSU CAREER DIGS RECORD AND KEEPS DIGGING
Kate Sommer became the WSU career digs record-holder Oct. 18, 2015, when she surpassed Kelly Hyder's 1,773 career digs, set from 2006-2009...Sommer is the lone senior on the Cougars 2015 squad...Sommer, from Pacific Palisades, Calif., also passed one of her coaches, WSU assistant Shannon Wyckoff Hunt, who tallied 1,254 digs from 1994-97 as an all-round position player due to the libero position coming into NCAA play in 1999...Sommer has accumulated 1,934 digs to date.
