SOMIS, Calif. – The Washington State University men's golf team concluded play at the Jones Invitational at the Saticoy Country Club in Somis, Calif., Tuesday. Senior Blake Snyder led the Cougars, shooting 1-over par (73) in the final round.

The Cougars carded a 312 (+24) in the third round to finish the tournament in 10th place with a total score of 933 (+69). WSU finished two strokes back from UC Irvine (+67, 931). San Diego State (+17, 881) edged out USC (+18, 882) for the tournament title, while the Trojans touted the top individual finisher in Anthony Paolucci (216, E).

Snyder led Washington State, carding a 225 (+9) over three rounds and tied for 15th. Junior Michael Anderson and redshirt junior Alex Wagner both shot 235 (+19) in the tournament and tied for 45th. Redshirt junior Sang Lee (+25, 241) finished tied for 56th, and sophomore Bhurinat Songpaiboon (+27, 243) finished in 58th.

“Blake did a great job today and all three rounds,” Washington State Head Coach Garrett Clegg said. “Overall, I'm disappointed in the guys. It was a very poor effort by the Cougs. The course was really hard and we were not able to match it.”

The Cougars return to action March 9-11, as they travel to Bandon, Ore., to compete in the Bandon Dunes Championship hosted by Gonzaga.
