BREMERTON, Wash. - The Washington State men's golf team was unable to climb the leaderboard ranks in the final round of the Kikkor Golf Husky Invitational on Tuesday at the Gold Mountain Golf Club. The Cougars finished tied for sixth, the same spot they finished the first two rounds in.

Sang Lee continued to lead the Cougar squad through the final round of the tournament. Lee carded a 75 in the final round, finishing the tournament 1-over par and tied for sixth overall. Blake Snyder also placed in the top 20 overall. With his final score to par of 5-over, Snyder completed the tournament tied for 15th, earning his second top 20 finish in as many tournaments with the Cougars.

"Our performance was really disappointing, especially coming off a great effort last week," Cougar Head Coach Garrett Clegg said. "We missed an opportunity to finish ahead of some great teams. To settle for a tie with Oregon really hurts."

Washington State saw three conference opponents in the tournament. Host school Washington bested all Pac-12 schools competing and finished first, while WSU and Oregon tied for sixth and Arizona State finished in eighth.

In the individuals' tournament, Jarrett Foote of WSU placed tied for fifth in the 33-athlete field after shooting a score of 69 in the third round.

The Cougar men's team will go to Boise, Idaho next Monday and Tuesday to compete in the Dash Thomas Memorial.
