Results
STANFORD -- Several Washington State track and field athletes reached season-bests and lifetime-best marks Friday afternoon and evening at the Stanford Invitational.
Sprinter Brett Blanshan ran a 200m time of 21.65 seconds, equaling his lifetime-best, for 10th place, with Stephan Scott-Ellis turning in a time of 21.87 for 14th and Jacob Sealby running a time of 22.21 for 22nd. The men's 4x400m relay squad of Joe Abbott, Sealby, Robert Shelby and J Hopkins took fifth place with a season-best time of 3-minutes, 11.25 seconds.
In the 110m hurdles final, Ramsey Hopkins' time of 14.85 was eighth.
Scott-Ellis tripled jumped 49-feet, 11 1/4 inches (15.22m) for sixth place in the men's invitational section. Also in the field, Joe Bartlett threw the shot put 57-0 1/4 (17.38m) for third place in the men's invitational section. Jack Baertlein and John Brenteson both cleared a height of 15-9 (4.80m) in the pole vault.
Cindy Robinson was the top Cougar women in the 200m with a time of 24.57 (10th), followed by Shaquana Logan's PR time for 24.88 (19th). Robinson later ran a leg of the 4x400m relay with Shawna Fermin, Candii McFarland and Bria'una Watley for a season-best time of 3:54.35.
Ruby Roberts ran a season-best 800m time of 2:11.67 (36th) and Caroline Austin's time of 2:12.45 (44th) was a PR.
Lauran Johnson and Shantae Young both triple jumped 37-10 3/4 (11.55m) for sixth and seventh place.

SPOKANE -- Washington State track and field performers also competed at the SCC WAR V meet held at Spokane Falls Community College Saturday. With limited results available, the Cougars found some personal-records and the winners' stand in several events.
Christine Rice won the women's high jump, clearing 5-7 3/4 (1.72m) and Kayla Warren won the triple jump with a PR leap of 39-1 3/4 (11.93m).
Anna Adamko and Jaclyn Onosko finished second and third in the women's javelin with throws of 146-0 (44.50m) for Adamko, and a PR toss of 143-11 (43.86m) for Onosko.
Oliver Henry was the runner-up in the men's discus with a toss of 160-4 (48.88m), and Grant Schultz took third place in the men's high jump after clearing the bar at 6-4 (1.93m). Chris Baltazar reached a PR in the hammer with a throw of 166-7 (50.77m).
On the track, Andrew Gonzales was the runner-up in the men's 1500m with a time of 3:56.53
The Cougar track and field teams have no competition scheduled until Saturday, April 21, when WSU hosts the 12th Annual Cougar Invitational meet at Mooberry Track Complex.
