EUGENE, Ore. - The Washington State men's golf team finished the Duck Invitational in 11th place, Tuesday.

Sophomore Kent Hagen carded a 73 (+1) during round three, turning in the lowest final-round score for the Cougars. Hagen leaves Eugene, Ore., with a 3-round score of 224 (+8), tied for 35th.

The best overall finish for Washington State came at the hands of junior Hank Frame, who was the only Cougar to finish the tournament within the top-20. Recording a 2-over (74) in the final round, Frame ended the three rounds in a tie for 19th with a cumulative score of 220 (+4).

"Kent and Hank played solid today," commented Washington State Head Coach Garrett Clegg. "Hank is back from his injury and playing well."

As a team, the Cougars recorded a score of 902 (+38). Host Oregon, ranked 17th in the country, took home the top team title with a score of 847 (-17). The Ducks also claimed the top three individual spots with senior Andrew Vijarro as the tournament victor, putting up a 210 (-6) performance.

Other members of the Washington State team included senior Trent Sanders, tied for 54th (228, +12), freshman Michael Anderson, tied for 62nd (231, +15) and redshirt-freshman Sang Lee, 76th (237, +21).

Clegg added, "We all struggled over the past two days, but we are prepared to turn it around by making some adjustments so that we can perform better on Friday. Expect our play to be much better at the end of the week."

The Cougars do not have time to relax as they are back competition Friday, March 30, when they travel to Stanford, Calif., to participate in the U.S. Intercollegiate.
