Rue Leads Cougars at Dr. Donnis Invitational

OAHU, Hawaii - Freshman Kristen Rue leads the Cougars after two rounds at the Dr. Donnish Thompson Invitational, hosted by the University of Hawaii. WSU is in tenth place with a score of 624 (+48) after two rounds.

Rue carded a 153 (+9) after two rounds to sit tied for 13th place, shooting a 79 (+7) and 74 (+2) in each round, respectively. Kristen Allard improved nine strokes from 82 (+10) in the first round to 73 (+1) in the second and is currently tied for 28th at 155 (+11).

Mallory Kent carded an 81 (+9) in the first round and a 77 (+5) in the second round for a day one total score of 158 (+14). Lindsay Harmon shot an 80 (+8) in both rounds for a score of 160 (+16). Emma Betland posted an 82 (+10) and an 80 (+8) for a two round total of 162 (+18).

Playing as individuals for WSU, Ellen Park posted an 82 (+10) and an 84 (+12) for a two round total of 166 (+22). Beau Bremer a carded an 81 (+9) and 86 (+14), respectively, for a total of 167 (+23). Brenda Jesernig a 170 (+26), shooting an 86 (+14) in the first round and an 84 +12) in the second.
