Aden Leads Washington State Past California, 77-75

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - Faisal Aden scored 24 points to lead Washington State past California 77-75 Saturday.

Davonte Lacy of Washington State (11-8, 3-4) hit a 3-pointer, was fouled and missed the subsequent free throw to give the Cougars a 77-74 lead with 18.3 seconds remaining.

With six seconds left, Justin Cobbs of California (16-5, 6-2) hit the front end of a pair of free throws, but missed the second. Jorge Gutierrez grabbed the rebound and flung a shot that hit the front of the rim to seal the Cougars' victory.

WSU had four players finish in double figures, including Brock Motum with 15 points.

Cal had five players in double figures. Gutierrez led the Golden Bears with 19 points.
