Day One Results
TEMPE, Ariz. - After two rounds of play at the Thunderbird Invitational, the Washington State University men's golf team sits in 13th place.
Junior Trent Sanders ends day one in 11th place, shooting a 69 (-2) in the first round of the day.
"Not a great day for the Cougs. Other than Trent (Sanders), we played poorly in the first round. We were making a little move after the first nine of the second round and then lost it on the back nine so we ended up with the same score from the afternoon round," said Head Coach Walt Williams. "Trent played great all day and we just couldn't get him any help."
Freshman Kent Hagen carded a 74 (+3) in the final round and is tied for 49th.
