STANFORD, Calif. - The Washington State University men's golf team completed the opening day of the Pacific-10 Conference Championship, Friday. The Cougars enter day two tied for sixth with a two round total of 723 (+10).
Washington State finished tied for sixth after posting a 363 in the morning round and ended the day in the same spot. The Cougars are tied with Oregon State and on the heels of California.
Junior Trent Sanders leads the Cougars and is currently tied for fourth carding a 68 (-2) in the first round of the day for a total 139 (-1).
Sophomore Hank Frame eagled hole seven and ends the day tied for 16th.
Lone senior Nick Ellis shot a 72 (+2) in the final round ending the day tied for 32nd. Freshman Kent Hagen is 8-over par and junior Branden Dalton is 11-over par. Redshirt freshman Cody Robinson carded a 76 (+4) in the final round and ends the day 12-over par.
The ten teams will play single rounds over the final two days. Round 3 is scheduled to start Saturday at 9 a.m.
