Final Scores
PROVO, Utah - Washington State finished tied for eighth, carding a 295 in the final round at the PING Cougar Classic, Saturday.
Sophomore Hank Frame shot 2-over par in the final round to finish tied for 19th. Senior Nick Ellis also finished tied for 19th carding a three-round total of 217 (+1).
"We had a struggle in the final round and fell back in field some. But I think we made some progress this week," said WSU Head Coach Walt Williams. "We hit the ball better and had two good scoring rounds, we are still a work in progress with some fine tuning yet to do, fortunately I think we are still improving."
Also of note, junior Trent Sanders carded a 73 (+1) in the final round to finished tied for 32nd.
Next, the Cougars will head to Stanford, Calif. to compete in the Pac-10 Championships April 29-May 1.
