Dusty Lane Open Complete Results
SPOKANE -- Chanel James and Candace Missouri were double winners for Washington State Saturday as eight Cougars won 10 events at the SCC Dusty Lane Open track and field meet held at Spokane Falls Community College.
James, a junior from Tacoma, won the women's 100m dash (12.15 seconds) and the 200m dash (25.14). Missouri, a senior from Vancouver, Wash., won the long jump (18-feet, 5 inches/ 5.61m) and the triple jump (36-11/ 11.25m).
Other WSU women grabbing gold included Allison Clark (freshman, Vancouver, Wash.) taking the 1500m in a time of 4-minutes, 42.72 seconds, Caroline Austin (sophomore, Vancouver, Wash.) won the 3000m steeplechase in a lifetime-best time of 11:06.53, and Christine Rice (sophomore, Ridgefield) won the high jump clearing a height of 5-6 (1.68m).
Cougar men winning events included Stephan Scott-Ellis (sophomore, Tacoma) in the 100m dash in a time of 11.24, Justin Englund (sophomore, Federal Way) in the 1500m with a time of 3:56.61, and Ryan Deese (senior, Colorado Springs, Colo.) with a high jump clearance of 6-8 (2.03m).
Selected Cougars will compete at the Stanford Invitational next weekend.
