SEATTLE -- Washington State senior Chelsea VanDeBrake and freshman Sarah Bobbe ran lifetime-best times Friday night at the Husky Classic Indoor Track & Field meet at the Dempsey Indoor Facility.
VanDeBrake, from Yakima, Wash., ran the 5000m in a time of 17 minutes, 7.92 seconds for 50th place while Bobbe, from Vancouver, Wash., ran a time of 17:11.72 for 58th place out of the 91 competitors. Bobbe's time is the freshman school record for 5k, besting the 2009 mark of 17:36.77 run by Emily Farrar.
The Husky Classic meet continues Saturday with both track and field events being webcast on Flotrack.com.
