PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) -With three seconds left in double overtime, Oregon's Malcolm Armstead drove the lane and hit the game-winner to beat Washington State 91-89 in a Pac-10 opener Thursday night.

Tajuan Porter had 31 points for Oregon (8-5, 1-0), including six 3-pointers. Michael Dunigan scored 22 points and had 12 rebounds for Oregon.

Washington State (10-3, 0-1) was led by Klay Thompson, who scored 33 points and hit 19 straight free throws. Thompson, the Pac-10 leading scorer, shot 6-for-19 from the field.

The Cougars thought they had the game won in the first overtime after DeAngelo Casto hit a finger roll with 2 seconds remaining. But they were called for a technical foul after the bench came onto the court with time left on the clock. Porter hit the two free throws for Oregon, sending the game into double overtime.
