WSU Holds Their Ground After Two Rounds In Stanford Intercollegiate

Stanford, Calif. - The WSU Women's Golf Team sits in seventh place for the second consecutive round at this year's competitive Stanford Intercollegiate. The Cougars recorded a first round score of 295 on Friday accompanied by a second round score of 296 on Saturday. The two days of scoring have the Cougars posting a +23, just six strokes out of the top 5.

Sophomore Amy Eneroth led the Cougars once again moving from ninth place into a tie for eighth. Eneroth will enter the third and final day of play only five strokes behind tournament leader Whitney Wade of the No.1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs.

Freshman Diana Hong shot a 72 in her second day to bring her total score for the tournament to 5-over. The quality second day moves Hong just one stroke out of the top 25.

The Cougars will conclude their fall season and the Stanford Intercollegiate with a third round tomorrow. The first pairings will be teeing off at 7:40 am.
