Jessica Marston enters her first year as a student assistant coach with the women’s swimming team.

Marston graduated from Washington State University in 2017 with a degree in social sciences. Marston was a member of the women’s swimming team during her time at WSU. In her senior season with the Cougars, Marston clocked in at 2:00.14 in the 200 Back at the Pac-12 Championships, a time that was eighth-best in program history in the event. She also earned Pac-12 Conference All-Academic Honorable Mention honors in the 2016-17 season. As a junior, Marston swam the third fastest time in school history in the 1650 Free at the Ohio State Invitational with a time of 16:50.83. At the 2015-16 Pac-12 Championships, Marston clocked in at 4:53.40 in the 500 Free to post a seventh-best time in program history.

Prior to WSU, Marston competed in four FINA Swimming World Cup meets. In her final year at Mount Albert Grammar, she placed fourth in the 800 Free at the FINA World Cup hosted in Singapore. She also placed third in the 1500 Free at the 2014 New Zealand Open Championships.

Born in Auckland, New Zealand, Marston is the daughter of Sean and Cathy Marston. She has one younger brother, Taylor. During her free time, Marston enjoys rock climbing, dancing, movies, and spending time with friends.
