Raced in all eight events for the Cougars as a true freshman … finished second in the 1V8 at the WCC Championships (5/16-17) preliminaries before placing third overall in the Grand Finals … placed fourth in the 1V8 at both days of the Lake Wheeler Invitational (4/25-26) ahead of No. 24 North Carolina … placed second in the 1V8 at both the Winchell Cup (4/5) and the Fawley Cup (4/19), and fourth in the event at the Head of the American (10/26).

Thompson follows a long line of Cougar student-athletes from New Zealand, coming to Pullman from Dunedin, New Zealand ... was selected to the South Island U18 team, while achieving a second-place finish at Maadi 2023 in the U18 1x and first-place at South Island Rowing Championships in the same event ... was selected to trial for the U19 New Zealand team to compete at World Championships and was additionally selected for the U21 rowing New Zealand camp ... also competed in netball, water polo, and swimming ... daughter of Matt Thompson and Sacha Turnbull and intend to major in Social Sciences at WSU.
